Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev lost to Serb Novak Djokovic in the third match of the group stage of the ATP Final Tournament, which takes place in Turin.
The meeting ended with a score of 6:3, 6:7 (5:7), 7:6 (7:2) in favor of the 25-year-old Serb.
In the third set, Medvedev led 5-4, but failed to apply for the match.
Medvedev lost all three matches in the tournament, Djokovic won all three.

Medvedev is the fifth racket of the world, he has 15 ATP titles in his career. This season, he has been in first place in the ATP rankings for a total of 16 weeks. The last time Medvedev lost his lead was after the US Open, where he lost in the fourth round.
With Djokovic, the 26-year-old Russian last played on October 8 in the semi-finals of the tournament in Astana. Then Medvedev withdrew after the second set due to injury. In personal meetings between Medvedev and Djokovic, the score was 8–4 in favor of the Serb.
Djokovic will face American Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals of the tournament. In the second semi-final match, the Norwegian Kasper Ruud and the winner of the meeting between the Russian Andrei Rublev and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, which will take place later on Friday, will meet.
The final tournament will end on November 20. The prize fund of the competition is $14.75 million.
The meeting between Rublev and Tsitsipas will begin at 23:00 Moscow time. The bookmaker’s office “Fonbet” accepts bets on the victory of the Russian with a coefficient of 2.35, the Greek – 1.60.
