Minister of Defense visits 23 fit Red Devils, Senne Lammens and defender Zeno Debast train again
The Red Devils trained this morning at 10.45 am in Tubize before leaving for Warsaw at 3.40 pm this afternoon. There Belgium will play the last game of the season against Poland tomorrow.
The Devils were visited by Ludivine Dendonder (PS), the Minister of Defence. It provoked the sarcastic comment that she was called up to teach the defense of the Red Devils, who could only keep a clean sheet against Burkina Faso in the last ten games.
The national coach introduced the minister to the players and gave a short speech. Roberto Martinez was able to welcome 23 fit players to training. They all trained. Goalkeeper Senne Lammens (Club Brugge) and defender Zeno Debast (Anderlecht) were also present again, just like last Friday, before the departure to Wales. They will not travel to Warsaw. As announced earlier, after Courtois, who dropped out earlier, Lukaku, De Bruyne, Meunier, Carrasco, Boyata and Onana will also not play in the last of four games in the preliminary round of the Nations League. They are home. (lvdw)
