A hard blow was once again received by the massive shows in Chile, after this Tuesday news about the Step-by-Step Planwith the establishment of the new phase of Medium Sanitary Impact that will restrict capacity again.

There were 95 communes in the country that will enter this modality starting at 5:00 a.m. this Thursday, May 12, including all those in the Metropolitan Region.

The decision was made on the grounds that there was an increase of 32% in Covid cases in the last seven days. On Tuesday there were 1,462 registered infections and three deaths from causes associated with the virus.

Step by Step Plan | Why will the capacity of massive events be reduced?

This is imposed by the new health regulations to contain the increase in cases of Covid-19 in the country, while more than 2.6 million people need to receive the fourth booster dose.

That is why massive events will have a maximum allowed of 10,000 people in open or closed venues. Besides, spaces for cultural use with fixed seats may not exceed 75% of the usual capacity of the venue.

Along with this, the authorities established that the physical distance defined by this phase must always be respected, which corresponds to a distance of 1 meter between people, with the exception of family or affinity groups that have purchased or requested adjoining seats in rooms with fixed seats.

Step by Step Plan | What will happen to the next massive events?

Undersecretary Cristóbal Cuadrado confirmed that the musical and cultural events of the current and next week are authorized with full capacityso they are still standing.

Meanwhile, for future instances, we will work together with the producers to determine the steps to follow.

For now, the shows of Louis Tomlinson and Karol G at the Movistar Arena are still alive, after registering their tickets practically sold out.
