Pro League: a Romanian goalkeeper arrives at Oud-Heverlee Leuven

Oud-Heverlee Louvain formalized on Monday the arrival of a Romanian goalkeeper, Valentin Cojocaru for the next three seasons.

The Jupiler Pro League club, 11th in the championship last season, offered the services of this tall 26-year-old goalkeeper (1m95) who plays in Ukraine, at SK Dnipro-1 last season, ending the season at Feyenoord. Valentin Cojocaru was trained at Steaua Bucharest and notably defended goals for Crotone and Frosinone in Italy and Apollon Limassol in Cyprus before returning to Romania at FC Viitorul Constanta in 2018 with whom he won his country’s Cup in 2019 He had joined Ukraine in June 2021, being then loaned, last February, to Feyenoord. He has two selections for the national team and will compete between the Leuven poles with Nordin Jackers and Oregan Ravet.
