The day after the 2-2 draw against their English colleagues (and a 3-0 loss in the shoot-outs), the Olympic and world champion in London was clearly keen on revenge. Nicolas De Kerpel converted a penalty corner in the eighth minute, as a result of which both teams went to rest with a 0-1 score. Only after the break, and especially in the fourth quarter, did the Red Lions take it out via Arthur De Sloover (39. pc), Alexander Hendrickx (56. pc, 58. pc) and again De Kerpel (58.).
