In the regional football league, VfB Stuttgart II lost their last home game of the season against Kickers Offenbach 4-2. There was a lot going on at the Gazi Stadium.

Anyone who went to the Gazi Stadium on the Waldau on Saturday afternoon to watch an entertaining football game was not disappointed. Even though VfB Stuttgart II saw a 4-2 defeat against Kickers Offenbach in the last home game of the 2021/22 regional league season, the spectators were offered a lot.

Five goals were scored in the first half alone. The guest from Offenbach took the lead in the first minute through Serkan Firat. VfB II responded in the 9th minute through Mateo Klimowicz, who scored to make it 1-1. But the joy didn’t last long, because just two minutes later, Tunay Deniz Offenbach put Offenbach back in the lead. Davud Tuma expanded this in the 27th minute. A little later, Noah Ganaus shortened the lead to 2:3 (34th minute). After these turbulent 45 minutes, it was time for a break.

Two sending offs for VfB II

After the change, the game initially calmed down. Goal scorer Ganaus saw the red card in the 68th minute, which meant that VfB II only played ten men from then on. In the 83rd minute, the home team was sent off again. Jayden Bennetts saw the yellow-red card. In the 90th minute, Deniz made it 2:4 with his second goal from a hand penalty.

VfB II is thus eleventh in the Regionalliga Südwest before the last matchday next weekend.
