Management is keeping an eye on new names in the market for the next season
O Sao Paulo was listed as interested in Gabriel Poveda, a 24-year-old striker who belongs to Alverca, from Portugal. In 2022, the striker played for Sampaio Corrêa and was the top scorer in Série B, with 19 goals.
According to findings from Bolavip Brasil, the player should not be hired by Tricolor Paulista. Poveda is part of a list with several names to be analyzed in 2023, but his arrival is out of the question.
The board consulted to find out the conditions of the deal. Borrowing, buying, maturities and everything that involves a negotiation, but it didn’t go beyond that. The board understands that it is not worth making an investment, nor taking away the space of athletes who can become “reinforcements” in 2023.
Juan Santos, an athlete formed in the categories, should gain more shooting in Paulistão. Same situation with Nahuel Bustos, hired mid-season to be Calleri’s immediate backup. The Argentine will also be more used by Rogério Ceni in the State, in addition to young people in the base categories that are being observed.
