Two-time world champion in the Brazilian national team Ronaldo contracted the coronavirus and is in isolation in his hotel room in Qatar, informs About Globo.

Ronaldo felt unwell on November 23 and was “not very worried” at first, but on Thursday morning he decided to take a test for COVID-19, which turned out to be positive.

He will have to stay in isolation for the next five days.

Ronaldo said he is experiencing flu-like symptoms but is generally fine.

According to him, he was going to attend the match between the national teams of Brazil and Serbia, but now he has to stay in the room.

The match between Brazil and Serbia will take place on the evening of November 24 at the stadium in Lusail, starting at 22:00 Moscow time.

Ronaldo is 46 years old, he won with the Brazilians at the 1994 and 2002 World Cups, and also took silver at the 1998 World Cup.
