The Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) will work to maximize the level of popularity of this sport in the country. This was stated by the first vice-president of the FHR and the head coach of the St. Petersburg SKA Roman Rotenberg.

“We go beyond the hockey community. We want to be in popularity at the level of programs that are gaining a high rating, for example, Dom-2,” he quotes TASS.

According to him, the FHR is capable of making hockey at the level of the Dom-2 TV show.

Roman Rotenberg is the son of billionaire Boris Rotenberg, co-owner of SMP Bank (Forbes evaluates Rotenberg Sr.’s fortune of $1 billion). For the first time in hockey, Roman Rotenberg came in 2007 at the dawn of the creation of the Continental Hockey League (KHL). To manage all the commercial contracts of the league, the KHL Marketing company was created, where Rotenberg became deputy general director. Later he became vice president of SKA, as well as deputy chairman of the board of directors, general director and head of headquarters. He was appointed head coach of the team at the end of 2021. In December 2014, Rotenberg Jr. was appointed First Vice President of the FHR. Since January 2015, he has been a member of the KHL Board of Directors. In May 2019, Rotenberg graduated from the Higher School of Coaches of the Omsk Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sports.

Dom-2 is a Russian reality show that has been airing on the TNT channel for over 16 years, and has been airing on the Yu channel since April last year. The TV project is the longest running reality show in history.
