Russian Mark Urvanov defeated former World Boxing Association (WBA) world champion Nicaraguan Rene Alvarado. The fight took place in Yekaterinburg.

The fight in the weight category up to 58.97 kg lasted all 10 rounds, following which the judges gave the victory to the Russian.

The 26-year-old Urvanov has 22 wins, three losses and one draw. In February of this year, the Russian lost to Venezuelan Angel Rodriguez by decision in a duel for the title of mandatory contender for the WBA champion title.

The 33-year-old Alvarado now has 32 wins and 13 losses. In 2019, he won the WBA world title, but parted ways with him in the next fight.

In another fight at a tournament in Yekaterinburg, Russian Khariton Agrba defeated former WBA and International Boxing Federation (IBF) world champion in weight up to 63.5 kg Julius Indongo from Namibia by technical knockout in the third round.
