The champion of the 2022 Olympics in the ski relay Sergey Ustyugov said “RIA News”which will definitely not go to the 2026 Games, which will be held in Italy.

“For the next Olympics – 100% no. Decided a long time ago. As they say, you have to leave on time. Yes, this is my favorite job, but I need to think about what to do after the sport. Stay close to the ski races or move somewhere further. If you used to go to training and think about how to put your arm or leg, now you go and work out a business plan. This is normal, this is life, everyone goes through it, ”said Ustyugov.

Ustyugov made his first appearance at the Sochi Olympics, where he finished fifth in the sprint due to a fall in the final. The skier missed the 2018 Games because he did not receive an invitation from the IOC. At the Beijing Olympics, Ustyugov became eighth in the sprint and finished in the winning 4×10 km relay.
