Newcomer “Spartak” Maciej Rybus is preparing for the start of the team’s training camp, Dmitry Zelenov, head of the press service of the “red-whites”, told RBC Sport.
“We cannot comment on the decisions of the Polish federation. Matsey signed an agreement with Spartak, the club believes in him, and the player himself is preparing to start training camps together with the team, ”Zelenov said, answering the question whether the situation with Rybus could lead to the player leaving the team.
The footballer was expelled from the Polish national team due to the transfer to Spartak
Earlier, the Polish Football Association announced that Rybus would not be invited to the Polish national team for the 2022 World Cup. Coach Czesław Mikhniewicz informed the player that “due to his current club position, he will not be called up to the September national team training camp and will not be included in the squad of the Polish team for the World Cup in Qatar.”
Spartak announced the signing of a contract with Polish football player Maciej Rybus on June 11. The agreement with the 32-year-old football player is calculated until June 30, 2024. Previously, Rybus played for Lokomotiv. Together with the team, Rybus won four tournaments: the Russian Championship (2017/18), the Russian Cup (2018/19, 2020/21) and the Russian Super Cup (2019).
