Dozens of people were injured as a fragment of the stand collapsed during a rugby match in Sydney, Australia. About it informs Daily Mail.

The incident occurred at the Leichhardt Oval stadium during a match between the St. Joseph and St. Ignatius Riverview teams. After the successful action of the player, the spectators of the tribune behind the goal began to jump, as a result of which the lower tier of the structure collapsed.

The number of people who applied for medical help exceeded 20 people. The arena administration has already received complaints about the inadequate condition of the stadium. In the near future, the stadium will undergo a full diagnostics.

Last autumn in the Netherlands, the stand with the fans of the Vitesse football club collapsed during the celebration of the victory in the national championship match. There were no casualties then.

In March, a temporary stand with 2,000 people collapsed at a stadium in India. Then about 200 people received injuries of varying severity.
