The Stuttgarter Kickers also have to compete in the Oberliga next season. In the promotion round, the Blues did not get more than 1:1 at Eintracht Trier and thus missed the leap into the regional league.

The Stuttgarter Kickers will also play in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in the coming season. In the decisive third promotion game against Eintracht Trier, the Kickers did not get beyond a 1-1 draw and thus missed the leap into the regional league. The Blues ended the game with nine men because Nico Blank and Denis Zagaria both had to leave the field with yellow and red. In the end, Eintracht from Trier, who finished the promotion round as table leaders ahead of Kickers and Stadtallendorf, can celebrate the promotion.

Only a win would have helped the Blues

The disappointment at the Kickers could hardly be greater. Despite 91 points, the Blues missed direct promotion in the past season through a Freiberg goal in the last second. However, the Blues quickly recovered from the last-minute drama. The Kickers won the first game of the promotion round 3-0 against Stadtallendorf.

But due to Eintracht’s 5-0 victory over Hessen, the Blues were doomed to win against Trier. However, the Degerlochers did not succeed. Now it’s another year in the Oberliga for the Stuttgarter Kickers.
