In a very physical game, the Stuttgarter Kickers couldn’t get past a draw against Eintracht Trier and the dream of promotion was shattered. Two yellow and red for the blue is too much, fans react with disappointment on the net.

Out of the dream: The Stuttgarter Kickers didn’t lose the game against Eintracht Trier 07 1-1 on Tuesday, but they did lose the fight for promotion to the regional league. The Blues would have needed a win in the promotion round and will remain in the Oberliga next season.

The game was wild, certainly not a fillet piece in terms of football aesthetics and physically all the harder. To the detriment of the Kickers, who received two yellow and red cards in the course of the game and in the end there were only nine players left on the pitch, which was stormed by the happy host fans after the final whistle.

The one hit that would have been missing for promotion leaves many Kickers fans disappointed. It hurts:

Although some saw the Stuttgarter Kickers as the better team on the pitch…

…which Trier was able to stand up to at times despite being outnumbered…
