Marvel Studios has a pending task for phase 4: introduce the generation gap of superheroes to confirm a new team of Avengers. On the one hand, series like “Hawkeye” have already opted for young superheroes, while on the big screen we have seen films like “Black Widow” that show us another team of supermen like Yelena Belova, who would replace Natasha Romanova.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” would follow this logic by introducing Jane Foster as Mighty Thor. In the first official trailer we already saw that this character appears carrying the Mjolnir and wearing an Asgardian combat suit.
Taika Waititi, the director, shared a few words about this new project for Empire Magazine.
“About eight years have passed. She’s had a completely different life, and then the love of your life comes back on the scene, and she’s now dressed like you. It’s really crazy for Thor”, commented the director.
“I didn’t know we were going to use the story of the Mighty Thor character until we started working on the actual story. I was writing and it was like, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to bring Jane back into the story?‘” adds Waititi.
