New CSKA coach Fedotov: “The primary task is to please the fans with a productive game”

The new head coach of CSKA Vladimir Fedotov said that the team under his leadership will first of all try to please their fans with a productive game. His interview placed in the club’s Telegram channel.
“We understand very well where we have come. CSKA is a great club, a club with traditions, with a good historical past and present. We understand the measure of responsibility that lies ahead of us. Pressure is everywhere. Bringing positive emotions to our devoted fans with our high-scoring game is our primary task,” said Fedotov.
According to the coach, all previous media reports that he had already signed a contract with CSKA were incorrect. “Only yesterday, closer to the night, all the formalities were settled. Before that, all the information was just rumors, ”said Fedotov.
CSKA announced the appointment of a new head coach
CSKA announced the appointment of Fedotov as the head coach of the club on June 15. He replaced Alexei Berezutsky in this post. Together with Fedotov, Oleg Fomenko, Murat Iskakov and Radik Yamlikhanov, who worked with him at Sochi, joined the CSKA coaching staff.
Fedotov has headed Sochi since January 2020. Last season Sochi residents for the first time in their history won the silver medals of the Russian championship. Before Sochi in the Russian Premier League (RPL), Fedotov worked with Orenburg.
CSKA last season took fifth place in the championship of Russia.
