American coach Andrea Fuentes showed professionalism, instantly reacting to the synchronized swimmer who lost consciousness. This was announced to RBC Sport by the seven-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Svetlana Romashina.

“This happens in our sport due to overexertion and lack of oxygen. Unfortunately, no one is immune from this, but this is a matter of experience and the ability to control one’s condition. Coach Fuentes showed professionalism and reacted instantly by jumping into the water after her. After the incident, I wrote a message to the coach in which I thanked her for her quick response and wished Anita recovery, ”said Romashina.

During a performance at the World Championships in Budapest, US synchronized swimmer Anita Alvarez lost consciousness, reports Marca. The athlete was saved by a coach who jumped into the pool and got a 25-year-old American woman out of the water

The synchronized swimmer will have to undergo a medical examination to determine the cause of her fainting, while at the same time, the national team believes that she will be able to perform in the final of the free programs of the groups on June 24.
