Larsson, who refused to return to Russia, terminated the contract with Spartak by mutual agreement of the parties at the end of June.
Larsson is the son of former Barcelona, Manchester United and Sweden international Henrik Larsson. The striker moved to Spartak in August 2019. Since then, the 25-year-old football player has played 83 matches for Spartak, in which he scored 27 goals and made nine assists.
In July, Schalke signed a contract with Czech midfielder Alex Kral, who suspended the agreement with Spartak, using the permission of FIFA.
