The level at which he played in Spartak is not enough for Bakaev to become a player in the main team of Zenit. This was announced to RBC Sport by the champion of the USSR as part of Spartak and the head of the Union of Football Veterans of Russia Alexander Mirzoyan.
“The level at which Bakaev played in Spartak is not enough to become a player in the main team of Zenit. I’m not saying that Zenit is superior in terms of selection of players, it just needs to adapt to the style of this team and prove that it deserves a place in the first team. Since he was invited to the club, it means they are counting on him. He must justify that his invitation to the team is not a mistake of the leadership and the coaching staff,” said Mirzoyan.
The ex-player of “Spartak” with the words “this is business” appreciated the departure of Bakaev to Zenit
