Adeyemi transfer fixed: BVB is happy about “highly talented, young German national player”
“Karim Adeyemi is a highly talented, young German national player whose strength at the end of our offensive game will look just as good as his extreme pace,” said sporting director Michael Zorc with regard to the signing of the 20-year-old.
Adeyemi was born in Munich and played for the youth teams of FC Bayern Munich between 2009 and 2011. However, the striker caused a stir in the SpVgg Unterhaching U17s and U19s, from where Adeyemi switched to Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2018. After two seasons with the Salzburg farm team FC Liefering in the second Austrian league, the youngster was increasingly used by the professionals at RB Salzburg and was able to earn a regular place. In the current season, the 20-year-old scored 23 goals for the team from the city of Mozart in all competitions.

Adeyemi, who celebrated his debut in the German national team last year, is now returning to Germany. SpVgg Unterhaching should also be happy about this, which will have a 22.5 percent stake in the resale of Adeyemis. Almost seven million euros should therefore go to the Munich suburb.
