Two potential buyers have made an offer for AC Milan, which has been owned by US investment fund Elliott Management since 2018. AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has stated this according to various Italian media.

“I understand that two bids have been made. We need time to estimate and compare these,” said Scaroni.

In mid-April, Italian media reported that a Bahrain-based investment fund, Investcorp, is interested in the current Serie A leader. More recently, Italian media reported talks with another potential buyer, US investment fund RedBird Capital Partners.

“I’m not aware of any issues” with Investcorp, which appeared to be the closest to a deal, Scaroni said. He did add that he is “not the right person” to answer questions on the subject.

Elliott Management acquired the Milan club in 2018 after the then owner, Chinese businessman Li Yonghong, was unable to repay a loan. Until 2017, Silvio Berlusconi was the owner of AC Milan.
