Daniel González is so far the only crossed reinforcement for the second semester while the Catholic seeks the departures of Yamil Asad and Lucas Melano.
Catholic University returns to the field of play this Saturday June 18 as a visit against San Felipe for the first leg of the third round of the Copa Chile. The Cruzados returned from vacation this Monday with the arrival of DT Ariel Holan and Daniel González as the only reinforcement so far.
And after the departures of César Munder and Sebastián Galani, TNT Sports reports that UC is working with the conviction of getting rid of players to free up foreign quotas. Yamil Asad and Lucas Melano are the ones called to leave.
As reported by the same channel, Asad was in the orbit of Newell’s Old Boy and Melano had options in the Bolivian market, but the negotiations did not prosper due to economic differences.
And quotas more or less of foreigners, the Catholic must define the case of Matías Dituro. The goalkeeper finished his loan with Celta de Vigo, but before leaving he extended his contract until 2024 with La Franja.
For now he has no formal offers and must return to the Catholic if a club interested in his gloves does not appear. Meanwhile, the goalkeeper is on vacation in Argentina training at the humble Independiente FC Bigand de Santa Fe, in his hometown.
With regard to reinforcements, César Pinares appears as a candidate to return after the end of the Chilean’s relationship with Turkey’s Altay, but for now an agreement seems distant due to the high salary cost of the one trained in Colo Colo.
