Josha Vagnoman is about to move to Stuttgart. But the transfer poker is still going on for the full-back of the second division HSV.

He fits almost perfectly into the requirement profile of VfB Stuttgart: Josha Vagnoman. Because the Bundesliga soccer club is urgently looking for a full-back who can ideally play on both sides. Sports director Sven Mislintat seems to have found the right man in the 21-year-old from Hamburger SV. Vagnoman’s root position is right defender. The Germany U-21 international has already changed wings because he can cross with both feet.

According to media reports, HSV imagines a transfer fee of seven to eight million euros for the native of Hamburg. VfB does not comment on the personnel. According to information from our editorial team, Vagnoman is about to move to Stuttgart. Players and club agree on the cooperation. Vagnoman is to receive a contract until 2026. Now the transfer poker is running – which should be completed by the start of training in Hamburg this Sunday. VfB will start preparing on Monday.

Josha Vagnoman has chosen the Stuttgart way

Five million euros (plus bonus payments) are classified as realistic in the industry. An amount that VfB can lift, although it wants to achieve a substantial transfer surplus. And from the player’s environment it is said that only the two clubs have to agree. What is clear, however, is that the courted Vagnoman is also on the shopping list of other Bundesliga clubs. However, the defensive player decided to go the Stuttgart route with a young team. Also because there is only one right-back in the Stuttgart squad in Pascal Stenzel. All other solutions were more like semi-skilled forces.

Vagnoman himself missed most HSV games last season due to a torn tendon. In the second division he made twelve appearances during the second half of the season, scoring two goals and providing two assists. In the subsequent relegation against Hertha BSC, Vagnoman was substituted on twice by HSV coach Tim Walter – and now, after failing in the play-offs, the Hamburger seems to be able to reach the goal of the first division after all, with VfB as his new employer.
