Figueira hit the bar in Série C and will have access to the Premiership as the main mission of next season

In 2023, Figueirense will enter its second consecutive season in Serie C of the Brazilian Championship. Hurricane do Estreito failed in the quadrangular of the third national division and still ended the year bitterly elimination in the semifinal of the Copa SC.

Planning for 2023 has already started at Orlando Scarpelli, with the definition of next season’s coaching staff. Júnior Rocha was dismissed and Cristóvão Borges will take over. According to GE, the new coach will be announced on December 9, three days before the Club starts its pre-season.

The reformulation of the cast has already started. Also according to GE, goalkeeper Gabriel Gasparotto, defender Otávio Gut and defensive midfielder Robson Alemão are reinforcements already agreed with Alvinegro. The Club continues to move in the market and new names should be announced soon. Figueira’s board also plans to reinforce itself with pieces that are already in the current team.

These are the cases of midfielders Léo Arthur and Rodrigo Bassani. Léo competed in the C Series and the Catarinense Championship for Hurricane in 2022 and scored seven goals in 29 matches. Free on the market, the player is on the radar of other clubs, but Figueira sews his permanence. Bassani’s situation is different. He has a contract with Juventude until the end of 2023 and Figueira is negotiating a loan renewal.
