Which club has the most World Cup national players? Who is the youngest, oldest or greatest player in Qatar? A look at the squads of the 32 participating teams.

The 32 nations participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar have announced their final squads. With the exception of Iran, who will take one fewer national players with them than they are theoretically allowed to, all associations travel to the desert state of Qatar with a maximum of 26 national players. This means they can take three more professionals with them than in 2018 at the last World Cup in Russia.

A total of 831 national players have been nominated by their associations for the tournament. Of course, it’s worth taking a closer look at the statistics – and they reveal interesting numbers and records.

And so much in advance: DFB kickers are also there. You can find out who exactly and what records are involved in the picture gallery.
