Zenit has extended the contract with goalkeeper Mikhail Kerzhakov. About it reported on the club website.

The new agreement with the goalkeeper runs until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Kerzhakov is 35 years old, he is a pupil of the club. In the main part of the “blue-white-blue” goalkeeper played 88 matches. Together with Zenit, the goalkeeper became a five-time champion of Russia, won the Cup twice and the country’s Super Cup four times.

Throughout his career, Kerzhakov also played for Sportacademclub, Volga, Volgar-Gazprom, Alania, Anji and Orenburg.

“I’m glad, of course! I am very glad that I remain in my native and beloved club, I am glad that I extended the contract – we will do everything to win the second star. Other options? Thoughts were different, but I am sure that I made the right decision, ”Kerzhakov said.

Earlier on June 15, Zenit CEO Alexander Medvedev announced that the club had signed a contract with former Spartak midfielder Zelimkhan Bakaev.
