F1 confirmed the schedule for the Italian meeting on Thursday. As at Silverstone, the weekend will begin on Friday (2:30 p.m.) with a first free practice session lasting one hour. Qualifying for the sprint race will follow at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, a second free practice session will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. The sprint race will be contested from 4.30 p.m. It is a 100 km race (18 laps at Monza) which determines the positions on the starting grid for the Grand Prix and awards points (3, 2 and 1) to the first three. On Sunday, the race will start at 3:00 p.m.
