A woman suspected of participating in the kidnapping of a child in Caravalas, a city in southern Bahia, was arrested on Saturday (18). It was found in Itamaraju, a municipality in the extreme south of the state.
The investigation into the case was completed last week and the police found that the victim would be used in a ritual intended to cure the cancer of the four people involved in the crime.
The kidnapping took place on January 14. On the 16th of the same month, a woman and a man were arrested. The suspects were identified as Sthefany de Jesus Silva, 25, and Ailton Ferreira dos Santos, 53.
The kidnapped baby was found with them, inside a backpack, at a city bus stop. According to g1, the police reported that two people, named Leila and Michelle, are also involved in the case.
Leila, who was arrested on Saturday, would have participated in the kidnapping, while Michelle would benefit from the ritual. In addition to this case, Michelle is investigated for another missing situation.
