To keep himself safe against the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases, the actor wore a checkerboard print face mask.

The Abduction actor is widely known for his impressive physique, which was often on display for his early film roles.

After appearing in the initial Twilight movie, Lautner bulked up and worked out everyday, eventually gaining over 30 pounds of muscle for the following films in the hit media franchise.

This sudden change in body type brought much attention to the young actor and is commonly seen as one of the series’ selling points.

The Valentine’s Day actor appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2009 wearing a wet t-shirt and participated in a subsequent interview, which many media outlets criticized for pushing the actor into an uncomfortable position.

The year afterwards, his workout routine was published by Men’s Health and went into detail about how the actor gained so much muscle mass in a short period of time.

In an interview with GQ, the actor discussed how he did not want to be recognized solely for his physique, and how the Twilight series showed his body in a story-appropriate way.

Lautner stated: ‘The reason I took off my shirt for New Moon is because it’s written in the book that way. And there’s reasons behind it.’

In recent years, the actor has made a switch to TV roles, notably appearing as Dr. Cassidy Cascade in the second season of the comedy slasher series Scream Queens.

From 2014 until 2018, Lautner portrayed Dale on the BBC Three sitcom Cuckoo, which also starred Andy Samberg, Andie McDowell, and Esther Smith, among others.

Lautner was notably absent from the lineup of the upcoming film We Can Be Heroes, which serves as a standalone sequel to the 2005 film The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D, one of the actor’s early roles.

It was announced that his costar Taylor Dooley would be returning, but that the role of Shark Boy would be portrayed by a stand-in, which was met with mixed reception from fans of the original film.

Switching out: Lautner will be replaced by a stand-in for the upcoming sequel to The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D; the actor is seen at the 2012 premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
