Telenet Giants Antwerp loses in Gravelines

The last practice match for Telenet Giants Antwerp in Gravelines, France, resulted in a 34-36 bonus halfway through and a 53-51 score a 76-64 defeat after 18-15.

Matthew Tiby (10) and Cameron Krutwig (12) were the top scorers. Elvar Fridriksson scored 8 points and 7 assists. Just like in the previous exhibition games against the Dutch Groningen and the German teams Göttingen and Hamburg Towers, Telenet Giants Antwerp fell completely silent again in the final quarter. The Giants will play the 1/16th finals of the Belgian Cup in and against second division team Kontich Wolves at 9 p.m. (Sint-Rita sports hall) on Saturday.
