The COE keeps eight provinces on green alert

The COE maintains eight provinces on green alert for possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as urban and sudden floods, because the incidence of a frontal system that is located on our territory will maintain favorable conditions for cloudy weather accompanied by rains

The provinces on green alert are:

The Vega
Puerto Plata
Espaillat
Mirabal Sisters
Maria Trinidad Sanchez
Duarte
Santiago
Samana

Likewise, fragile, small and medium-sized vessels, from Cabo San Rafael (La Altagracia) to Manzanillo (Monte Cristi) are recommended to stay in port, due to abnormal waves.

With the exception of the interior of the Bay of Samaná, from Punta Mangles to the area of Cayo Levantado where fragile and small vessels can carry out their operations, without venturing out of it due to abnormal winds and waves.
