The reds from Quinta do Noval have always had a problem: that of being compared to the house’s Vintage and Colheita Ports. Putting knowledge accumulated over several generations side by side with an adventure that began less than 30 years ago does not make much sense. Perhaps that is why the reds from this superb estate are so often overlooked. Which is undoubtedly a mistake and an obvious injustice.
