While we are excited about the start of Vikings: Valhalla, there is still a lot to come more terrifying Viking epic on. Robert Eggers is back on the big screen with The Northman. Most recently, he taught us fear with the deeply disturbing cinema nightmares The Witch and The Lighthouse.
The first trailer for The Northman was released at the end of 2021, but only in the original version. Now there is also a German version that gives us one visually stunning insight in the film delivers. Mud and grime fly through the air as we witness bloody battles and intrigues in the 10th century.

At the center of the story is Prince Amleth, played by Alexander Skarsgård, who is on his way to the To avenge the murder of his father. The Northman tells a story of revenge in a historical setting and leads its protagonist through unfriendly landscapes, in which he meets some dodgy characters, as the trailer shows.

Ralph Ineson is also a member of the ensemble who appeared in two gruesome films last year: The Green Knight and The Tragedy of Macbeth. What role he plays in The Northman is not yet known.
The Northman startet am 28. April 2022 in German cinemas.
