Although the history series “The Last Kingdom” on Netflix always enjoyed great popularity, the template was never fully adapted. This is due to the fact that when the series was ordered, ten volumes of Bernard Cornwell’s historical series were available, in which two books were to be dealt with in one season and “only” five seasons were therefore ordered. But meanwhile 13 parts of the series have been published, so that the story about Uhtred von Bebbanburg has not been told to the end, at least not on the screen.
Netflix wants to change that and is producing one Spin-off film titled “Seven Kings Must Die”, which should be suitable for both long-established fans and newcomers. The streaming provider gave up Twitter known.
