Issues related to the coronavirus pandemic were discussed today during their meeting at the Municipal Palace of Ayia Napa, by the Minister of Health Michalis Hadjipandelas and the Mayor Christos Zannettou.
A statement from the Municipality states that “Messrs. Hadjipandelas and Zannettou discussed issues related to the pandemic with the Minister of Health making special mention to the Mayor for the valuable assistance and support of the Municipality in carrying out vaccinations with mobile units in the Municipality of Ayia Napa.” as he said “it contributed the most so that the province of Famagusta has a high vaccination coverage”.
The Minister of Health and the Mayor also discussed, “in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of the Center for Offer and Love (KEPA)” Agios Christoforos “for the Charity event entitled” Love Souvlaki “to be held on Tuesday, October 19 at in Paralimni. The event is under the auspices of the Minister of Health and the goal is to raise money for the construction of a Palliative Care Center “.
The announcement states that “the Mayor of Ayia Napa handed over to the Minister the symbolic amount of 500 euros, as a contribution for KEPA and assured Mr. Hadjipandelas that the competent services of the Municipality will do everything they can to promote the event.”
Mr. Zannettou also said that “the Center is the only one in the free province of Famagusta and supports and serves our fellow human beings by performing a great charitable, social and humanitarian work.”
