“This type of attack, called ransomware, were perpetrated in recent months against various public bodies, the Judiciary and front-line companies,” the Senate reported on its Twitter account.

“The pirates “hijack” the information and then demand a ransom for it. In the case of the Senate of the Nation, all the stolen information is public and available to everyone and all within our transparency site,” he added.
The Upper House reported that the Computer Security team is already working and “so far Most of the information was retrieved. relevant and isolate sensitive equipment, which will allow us to recover operations as soon as possible”.
“They stole the entire database: the official website, emails and human resources information. They will be able to publish, for example, salary receipts. But it’s all public,” a source from the official Senate bloc told TN.
