The Superior Volleyball League (LVS) announced the postponement of the third edition of its tournament, for next November 5. It was dated to begin this Friday 15 with the participation of eight teams in female and male.
The information was offered after a joint meeting between the representatives of the eight franchises and the LVS board in which different aspects concerning the organization of the fair that brings together the most select Dominican volleyball players were analyzed today.
“With great regret we have decided to postpone the start of our event, as circumstances beyond our control prevented meeting the organizational standard achieved in the first two versions,” said the president of the LVS, Angel Rivas.
The directors of the different sextets recognized that due to the pandemic the support received on other occasions has been complicated and that on this occasion they have had promises of support that needed time to materialize.
The female sextets of Mirador VC, champion of the 2019 edition, Caribeñas New Horizons, Cristo Rey VC and las Guerreras will participate in the tournament.
Rivas said that they could not risk starting the championship without being sure that it will culminate successfully, because it is something that neither the fans nor the players themselves deserve.
“After analyzing all the situations and circumstances, the LVS managers and team representatives have decided that it is best to start on Friday, November 5,” added Rivas.
The tournament will be attended by the female sextets of Mirador VC, champion of the 2019 edition, Caribeñas New Horizons, Cristo Rey VC and Las Guerreras, while the male will be the Santos de San Lázaro, Mauricio Báez, Bameso Bulldogs, and Guerreros de Santo Sunday East.
