NEWSWEP.COM, JAKARTA – Presenter Ayu Dewi is grateful to be one of the voice actors for Walt Disney’s animated film Raya and The Last Dragon.
Working with Disney for the 36-year-old woman is an honor. Not everyone, Ayu said, can get the opportunity she gets.
“Just luck. Thank God I was able to be chosen (as the voice of Raya and The Last Dragon) from millions of people in this world. There are three names, I think they have been tapped by Disney, I believe, they are invited to do a voice test,” Ayu said while talking. with Tribun Network, Wednesday (9/6).

“I think it must have been adjusted before we were invited to the characters and figures in Raya and The Last Dragon. Who is not super excited (collaborating with Walt Disney),” Ayu continued.
In Raya and The Last Dragon, Ayu Dewi fills the voice for the character Sisu who is the last dragon in Kumandra.

Besides Ayu Dewi, there were two other Indonesian artists who were invited to provide voices for the animated film. They are Eva Celia Latjuba and Mikha Tambayong.
Sisu’s character that Ayu plays is a cute, adorable, and very active dragon. Sisu’s personality then made Ayu Dewi feel nervous ahead of the recording procession.
“I was in the car (to the recording studio) full of prayers. It’s like praying. I think (Sisu) is a really funny role. So we play something adorable,” said Ayu.

“The fear is like it can’t be done, isn’t it? Isn’t it funny? Isn’t that cool, isn’t it? She (Sisu) also moves a lot. In every movement there is a statement like that,” continued Ayu.
Even though she was nervous, Ayu Dewi finally succeeded in playing the character of Sisu. The film Raya And The Last Dragon is now showing in Indonesian cinemas and will be back on Disney+ Hostar since June 4, 2021.
