Marcelo Jorge Longhi, the president of the Vilo de Vicente López Club, was found murdered, with a blow to the face and a broken neck, inside a truck stopped on the shoulder of a road near the Buenos Aires province of Luján and it is being investigated if he was killed during an attempted robbery.

According to the results of the autopsy that were known this afternoon, the victim died from a maneuver that broke his neck, and that he did not have gunshot wounds or stab wounds.

The forensic doctors who performed the autopsy at the Chivilcoy morgue also established that Longhi presented a blow to the face probably produced by a punch or punch.

The president of the Club Municipality of the City of Vicente López (VILO) was found dead on Wednesday afternoon in the box of a gray Ford Ranger, stopped among some grasslands, about 15 meters from a rural road that intersects with the Provincial Route 47, at the access to La Choza area, on the border between Luján and General Las Heras.

The fact was discovered by neighbors who, when they saw the abandoned truck in the area, alerted 911, so members of the Luján Rural Patrol Command went to the place and found the body with different injuries and abrasions.

For his part, Osvaldo, Longhi’s brother who interviewed police officers after the body was found, said that, in addition to being president of the Vilo club, the deceased lived in a closed neighborhood in Pilar, was an employee of the Vicente López municipality and he rented a field called “Los Amigos” in the neighboring town of Tomas Jofre, in the district of Las Heras.

According to this witness, Longhi rented that field together with the owner of a private security company, and yesterday he planned to go buy two steers in the Navarro area, for which he had 180,000 pesos, a sum that until this afternoon had not been found by researchers.
