TicWatch Pro 3: What are two displays in the watch and why Google spoils it [test]

Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a new smart watch running the Wear OS system. The new model follows last year’s TicWatch Pro 3, with a robust construction, higher durability, greater computing power and improved connectivity coming to the fore. The Bluetooth version of the watch is available from today, and those interested in the LTE variant will wait until mid-November. In both cases, only the black color variant is considered.

The body of the watch, measuring 47 × 48 × 12.3 mm, is made of steel and complemented by reinforced nylon and laminate. You attach replaceable 22mm rubber straps to the body. The 1.4-inch AMOLED display uses a resolution of 454 × 454 pixels. However, there is also an FSTN display on it, which takes care of displaying time, steps, and can also significantly help increase endurance on a single charge. In the so-called “smart mode”, the watch lasts up to three days on a single charge, in the case of the basic mode with limited functionality, the endurance is stated to be up to 45 days. The battery capacity is 577 mAh, the displays are covered by “fingerless” Gorilla Glass.

Previously tested Mobvoi TicWatch E3 watch:

The watch boasts increased resistance to IP68 and the MIL-STD810G standard, you can swim with it in water or rely on extensive measurement options. GPS and a compass are available in the watch, you can also count on continuous measurement of heart rate and blood oxygenation, measurement of heart rate variability (HRV) or detection of atrial fibrillation. Twenty exercise regimes were also equipped.

The performance of the watch is provided by the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ supplemented with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. You will find a speaker and a microphone on the body of the watch, so you can also make phone calls directly from your wrist. TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra runs Wear OS, but the name is missing three, so this time it is an older version of the system. We are almost beginning to think that only Samsung has unrestricted access to the latest version for a long time, while others must, reluctantly, reach for an older version of the system.

The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS watch is already sold on the manufacturer’s website for EUR 299.99, ie for approximately CZK 7,600. The LTE variant will start offering during November, with a surcharge of CZK 2,500.
