Which is why smaller clubs like SC Freiburg or FC Augsburg suddenly become transfer kings of the winter in the corona pandemic – and others like VfB Stuttgart have to save.

Stuttgart – Now there was a big club in Borussia Mönchengladbach that claims to move into international business. Borussia paid 5.5 million euros these days for the new central defender Marvin Friedrich to Union Berlin. Up until this transfer, two so-called little ones were the kings of the Bundesliga this winter. FC Augsburg paid its record transfer fee of 16.36 million euros for the storm jewel Ricardo Pepi (19) from FC Dallas. And SC Freiburg invested a whopping 4.5 million euros for the 19-year-old right-back Hugo Siquet from Standard Liège.
