Havana Cuba. ─ The Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) reported this Wednesday in its official Facebook account that the Transfermóvil platform, the most used on the island for electronic commerce and mobile services, “is experiencing instability problems in some of its functions ”.
“We inform Transfermóvil users that the service is showing instability in some of its functionalities. Our technicians work to restore your operations in the shortest possible time. We apologize for the inconvenience caused, ”says the state company, the only one that offers telecommunications services on the island.
At the discretion of users in social networks, the application for subscribers of the cellular network, which allows paying for public services and managing others from any mobile terminal, “does not quite work as it should” and has been presenting many problems since its launch.
Most of the difficulties reported have been related to system failures when accessing bill payments, as well as synchronization errors with the Manufactured Gas companies, the Electricity Company, the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA ) and Correos de Cuba.
Recently, the Central Bank of Cuba (PCC) approved the modification of the license granted to ETECSA to increase the maximum balance to 15,000 pesos and the limit of mobile wallet transactions to 7,500 through the platform.
According to official figures, more than 16 million monthly operations are carried out in Cuba via Transfermóvil. It is estimated that every six seconds some Cuban uses their services. However, the island’s own media have recognized that the system under which the application operates presents security gaps.
