Travel abroad: here are the countries located in the red zone (map)

Every Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prepares an inventory of travel destinations based on data and criteria from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Here is what emerges.

Malte joined the list of green zone destinations updated every week by the FPS Foreign Affairs on Monday, along with Iceland, Western Finland and the Finnish region of Aland. The Spanish region of Murcia will turn red from Wednesday.



Every Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prepares an inventory of travel destinations based on data and criteria from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). All the countries of the European Union and the Schengen area are in red, with a few exceptions.

Zones oranges

Parts of Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Spain, Finland, France, Norway and Poland are colored orange when they were red last week.

The Spanish enclave of Ceuta, the north and east of Finland, the north of Norway and the Norwegian region of Trøndelag, on the other hand, leave the green zone and turn orange.

Bulgaria, Hungary, Monaco and Vatican City are no longer travel destinations in the red zone, but orange. Southern Denmark, Ireland, Portugal, Romania and San Marino remain in orange.

Outside the EU and Schengen For countries outside the European Union and the Schengen zone, nothing changes: they are in red except Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore and South Korea (green), as well as Thailand (orange).
