Starting next week, vaccinated Hungarian citizens will be able to travel to Cyprus freely, without any obligation to test or quarantine, regardless of the coronavirus vaccine they have been vaccinated with.
The ministerial decree on this is on Saturday Hungarian Gazetteappeared in. The legislation will take effect on Sunday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on Saturday that negotiations with Cyprus on the adoption of protection certificates had been concluded. He indicated that the negotiations are constantly progressing so that Hungarian citizens can travel to as many countries as possible.
To date, Hungary has concluded agreements with the following countries on the joint acceptance of protection certificates:
- Kingdom of Bahrain
- Republic of Cyprus
- Czech Republic
- Republic of Northern Macedonia
- Republic of Croatia
- Republic of Moldova
- Republic of Montenegro
- Republic of Serbia
- Republic of Slovenia
- Republic of Turkey
