Jared Kushner, the son-in-law and former adviser to former US President Donald Trump, took part in the launch of an influence group in the Israeli Parliament on Monday in Jerusalem in favor of an enlargement of “chords of abraham“, which saw several Arab countries normalize their relations with Israel.
The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco normalized their relations with Israel in 2020, under the leadership of the then American president and his son-in-law, architect of this strategy.

Jared Kushner, accompanied by his wife Ivanka Trump, told the Knesset that the so-called Abraham Normalization Agreements created “a new model“in the region that might have”many different consequences“depending on what the leaders decide.
Betrayal for the Palestinians
These agreements signed by Benjamin Netanyahu had been approved by the current Israeli coalition in power, then in opposition.
They were denounced by the Palestinians as a betrayal, the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict having long remained a condition for any normalization of the relations of the Arab countries with the Hebrew state.
Meeting with Antony Blinken
Next week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is due to meet his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid in Washington with Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed to discuss “the progress made“since the signing of the agreements.
Yaïr Lapid has already declared that he wants “expand the circle of countries signatory to the Abrahamic Agreements“on his next visit to the United States.
