Yesterday and early in the morning there were no effects on the electric service due to a generation capacity deficit.
The availability of the National Energy System (SEN) at 07:00 hours is 2581 MW and the demand is 2000 MW with all the load served. It is estimated that there will be no impact on the electricity service due to a deficit in generation capacity throughout the day, if the conditions provided in the SEN are maintained.
The Otto Parellada CTE, unit 7 of the Máximo Gómez CTE (in the start-up process), unit 5 of the Diez de Octubre CTE and units 3, 4 and 6 of the Antonio Maceo CTE are out of service due to a breakdown. Unit 4 of the Diez de Octubre CTE is under maintenance. At Energas Varadero, 40 MW in the steam turbine are out of service. The limitations on thermal generation are maintained (501 MW).
For today’s peak, the entry of unit 7 of the Máximo Gómez CTE is forecast with 70 MW, of unit 5 of Energas Boca de Jaruco with 30 MW and the completion of unit 6 of Energas Boca de Jaruco, contributing 10 MW more at this time, in addition, 230 MW will be used in diesel engines.
It is also estimated for peak hours an availability of 2,921 MW and a maximum demand of 2,630 MW, for a reserve of 291 MW, so no effects on the electricity service are foreseen.
