Unión Eléctrica: No service impacts are forecast during peak hours this Saturday

The Electricity Union pointed out this Tuesday that the electricity service was not affected yesterday. The availability of the SEN at 07:00 hours is 2 205 MW and the demand is 1 990 MW with all the load served. No effects on the electricity service are expected due to a deficit in generation capacity during the morning and afternoon of today if the expected conditions are maintained.

Unit 8 of the Máximo Gómez CTE, unit 1 of the Lidio Ramón Perez CTE (in the start-up process), units 4 and 5 of the Diez de Octubre CTE (unit 4 in the process of being start). Under maintenance is unit 7 of the Otto Parellada CTE, unit 5 of the Máximo Gómez CTE and units 4 and 6 of the Antonio Maceo CTE (unit 4 in the start-up process).

At Energas Varadero, 40 MW in the steam turbine is out of service. The limitations on thermal generation are maintained (472 MW).

For peak hours, the entry of unit 4 of the Antonio Maceo CTE with 75 MW, units 4 and 5 of the Diez de Octubre CTE with 140 MW, unit 1 of the Lidio Ramón Pérez CTE with 260 MW and the completion of unit 6 of Energas Boca de Jaruco contributing 20 MW, and 320 MW will be used in diesel engines.

It is estimated for peak hours an availability of 3,021 MW and a maximum demand of 2,750 MW, for a reserve of 271 MW, so no effects on the service are forecast at this time.
