Despite the start of Salvador’s carnival this Thursday (16), vaccination against Covid-19 will continue to take place in the capital of Bahia. The scheme runs from 8am to 4pm.
The mobilization includes the immunization of children aged 6 months to 4 years, 11 months and 29 days with or without comorbidities, in addition to vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 years old living in the capital of Bahia. The immunization of children will be carried out upon presentation of the identification document of the child and parents and/or guardians, vaccination card, SUS card and confirmation of the name on the list on the SMS website.
For the immunosuppressed group, the 4th dose is also being offered to people aged 12 or over, also with the mandatory name on the list.
In addition, the strategy continues with the application of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 for people aged 18 or over, in a “GENERAL RELEASED” scheme, regardless of being a resident of the municipality, that is, even not living in Salvador or not having taken the doses here, the citizen will be contemplated. The only requirement is to have the SUS card linked to a municipality in the state of Bahia.
The interested party MUST submit originals and copies of the vaccination card or national digital vaccination card (updated CONECTSUS), identification document with photo and proof of residence in the municipality of the State of Bahia.
The other groups that are not included in the ‘Liberou Geral’ strategy must reside in Salvador and have their name listed on the Municipal Health Secretariat website.
Immunization also follows for individuals aged 18 years or older vaccinated with Janssen in the primary schedule. That is, following the guidance of Technical Note No. 177/2022-CGPNI/DEIDT/SVS/MS, which establishes that all individuals who received the Janssen vaccine (Single Dose) as a primary scheme, between 18 and 39 years of age, are instructed to receive a second booster, and all individuals aged 40 and over are advised to receive a third booster, matching the total amount of vaccines referring to other vaccination schemes with COVID-19 vaccines.
