The federal road police officer Vagner Gomes da Silva was appointed, this Monday (13), as the new Regional Superintendent of the Federal Road Police in Bahia (PRF).
Vagner Gomes is 47 years old and, according to the PRF, is from Nova Fátima, Bahia, about 227 kilometers from Salvador. The superintendent has a degree in Literature from the University of Feira de Santana and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Security from the Military Police Academy of Bahia. He joined the PRF in the year 2004.
In addition, he served as Deputy Chief of the Special Operations Nucleus (2009), Chief of the Policing and Inspection Nucleus at the PRF Police Station in Feira de Santana-BA (2018) and was recently elected Delegate Representative of the Union of Federal Road Police Officers in Bahia SINPRF/BA.
He was also a candidate for state deputy in the 2022 elections, and was substituted for the Avante party. A new manager takes over the vacancy that was occupied by Virgílio de Paula Tourinho until January of this year. During the process, new heads of all other states and the Federal District were also appointed.
